All about NATA 2020

NATA is a National level Undergraduate Designing exam conducted by Council of Architecture for 5-year B. Arch courses. The admissions through NATA also include Government, Government-aided, Private Unaided, University Departments and Deemed Universities.

Background: The candidate must have either passed/appearing in 10+2.
Minimum marks: The candidate must have scored minimum 50% marks in aggregate in physic, chemistry and mathematics. .
Age limit: The candidate must be minimum 17 years of age as on July 31, 2020

1.  Part A and Part B of the paper has been interchanged.
Now Part A is for Drawing ( 2 Questions x 35 marks each + 1 Question x 50 marks]
         Part B is for PCM and General Aptitude & Logical Reasoning.
2. Earlier, MCQs were only asked from Maths and General Aptitude but now it questions from Physics and Chemistry will also be asked alongwith logical reasoning.
3. PCM part - [ 15 Questions x 1.5 Marks each = 22.5 Mrk]
     General Aptitude & Logical Reasoning part - [35 Questions x 1.5 Marks each = 52.5 Mrk]
4. The total duration of the exam has been increased by 15 mins.

Total Duration: 3 Hour 15 min   |    Paper 1: Drawing 125 Marks - 3 Questions

 Paper 2: PCM & General Aptitude & Logical reasoning - 75 marks - 50 questions

Total Marks: 200 Marks

The application process started on 1st February, 2020, and is open for NATA 2020 Examination to be conducted in April and May. The last date to apply for NATA 2020 is March 16th, 2020

The first exam of NATA 2020 is scheduled to take place on April 19, 2020 whereas the second exam is going to take place on May 31, 2020.

The result of NATA 2020 for first attempt will be declared by COA in 1st Week of May

Qualifying marks for NATA-2020 would be based on the following rules:
1. A minimum of 25% must be secured in MCQ portion (18 out of 75)
2. A minimum of 25% must be secured in Drawing portion (32 out of 125)
3. Overall qualifying marks (out of 200) would be based on post-exam statistics and at the discretion of the Council.
A Candidate will not qualify in NATA-2020 unless he/ she satisfies all three conditions mentioned above.
