MHT CET or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level entrance exam conducted for admission into Engineering and Allied Health Sciences (Pharmacy) courses in Maharashtra. Exam is conducted online mode
The Directorate of Technical Education, Maharashtra defines the eligibility conditions for candidates appearing in MHT CET. As per DTE Maharashtra, 85% of the seats in private unaided engineering institutes in Maharashtra will be filled through MHT CET, while 15% seats will be filled/reserved for All India Quota based on MHT CET.
DTE Maharashtra releases MHT CET Syllabus with the release of official notification. MCQs in MHT CET are based on the Syllabus of class 11 and 12 of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. About, 20% weightage will be given to Std. XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to Std. XII curriculum while setting the question paper.
The questions are based on Syllabus of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education. MHT CET holds 3 Papers- Paper1 (50 questions - 100 marks Mathematics), Paper 2 (50 questions - 50 marks Physics & 50 questions - 50 marks Chemistry) and Paper 3 (100 questions - 100 marks Biology).
The difficulty level will be at par with the JEE (Main) for Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and difficulty level for Biology will be at par with NEET. The questions will be mainly application based.
However, 10 questions from each subject will be based on class 11th.

In order to be eligible for admission to B.Tech programs offered by the institutes, candidates must score requisite cut off. The cut off is released after every round of seat allotment by DTE Maharashtra. For determining MHT CET Cutoff, certain parameters are considered such as total number of seats available, number of candidates appeared in CET and the level of difficulty of exam.
